Have you ever had problems with your computer? The worse is that the computer seems dead. It does not boot at all, and nothing appears on the screen. So many things can be wrong, from the power supply to the VGA card and from the memory to the processor.

is, by following the internal self-test of the mainboard. Whenever a test fails,
the Debug card will indicate which test fails by a numerical code - look-up
tables for most BIOSes are provided on the included CD or floppy disk. And if the
power supply is broken, you can easily tell that from the LEDs on the card that
indicate if the power supply is functional.

The Debug Plus card comes with a second numerical display dispatched from the main
card though a cable - this could be mounted on the front of the computer, when
the card is installed permanently. It also comes with a speaker, to connect to
the PC speaker output of the motherboard that you are testing. This because many
BIOSes give a beep-code when there is an error, and your broken computer of course
misses that simple, but vital speaker.
